"Awit na Binigay sa Akin"

Ang nais ng aking puso,
  sa akin iyong pinagkaloob.
  At ang hiling ng aking labi
  ay di mo pinagdamot.

Di inaasahang makakamit
  Siya na sinisinta ng aking kaluluwa
  Ako’y naupo sa iyong anino’t
  Niyakap ng may pagsasaya

Ramdam ang paglamig sa isang iglap
  Salita ay tulad ng paghawi sa ulap
"Subalit kung umaasa ako sa hindi ko nakikita,
  hinihintay ko ito ng may pagtitiis"

Inagaw mo ang aking puso
  Nang ’sang sulyap ng mga mata mo
  Ang pagnanasang nabuo, ito’y nahan?
  Bumalik ka nang makamtan

Awit na binigay sa akin,
  O, Sinisinta ng kaluluwa ko’y "dinggin"
  Maibalik ang hinihiling
  Mapawi ang lungkot na dalahin

Nilulunod ako sa bagyong iyong sinumpa
  Subalit ang ninanais kong pag-ibig
  hindi kayang patayin ng maraming tubig
  ang pagsinta na aking nadarama

Its not a perfect poem nor a perfect letter

even though its not perfect...I, whose not perfect
